Two special Brides' Balls in February, with proceeds going toward the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in Kitchener and London, Ontario (Canada).

Regardless of your age or marital status, Ontario-based wedding media company TheWeddingRing.ca is giving men and women of all ages and marital status a fabulous reason to feel like a prince and princess for an evening. Taking place in February 2008, The Brides’ Ball runs in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation™ of Ontario and it’s set to be a magical night in more ways than one.

“Every woman wants to wear her wedding dress again,” says Anne Warren, Sales Director and Event Producer at The Wedding Ring. “The Brides’ Ball offers the perfect opportunity for women and their soulmates to experience a night they’ll always remember, in support of a great cause.” And with the evening open to anyone in need of a fun night out, everyone can join in the fun. Whether it’s just to get dressed up, or pull your funkiest moves on the dance floor, the Brides’ Ball offers just the excuse you need.

There will be themed prizes, gift bags, entertainment and special guests, on-site portraits and video, leading to what looks to be an unforgettable evening. Photo and video of the event will appear on TheWeddingRing.ca’s website after the evenings come to a close.

To ensure everyone gets a chance to attend, the event will be held in two locations. The first Ball will be held at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario on February 23, 2008, with its sister event at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn in London, Ontario on February 29. Tickets are selling fast, both online and at selected retailers.

Company President Jennifer Goulden is encouraging every local business, retailer, wedding vendor and member of the community to take part in the event. “There are endless opportunities to give back, either by attending or by sponsoring The Brides’ Ball. You can donate money, sponsor a table in your name, or even sponsor a portion of the evening such as the cocktail hour or the first dance...” This is in conjunction with an online silent auction leading up to the event itself. With demand high for the remaining tickets, make sure you’re part of this historic night by adding your name to the list now.

Goulden says that most tickets are selling by the table. “Girls are gathering their best friends and coming without their fiancés or husbands. Others are filling tables with dating, engaged and married couples.” With the interest in the first event, TheWeddingRing.ca hopes to make this an annual fundraising event, with a different cause each year. And that’s cause for celebration itself.
