Weddings take a great amount of planning, but within 12 hours, the whole ceremony and the day is gone. Find some ways to preserve those memories while embarking on the journey of marriage.
Write Wedding Wishes for Each Other
Besides your vows (if you have written any), you may want to make wedding wishes for each other – this will remind you of how important your wedding day is to you. Wish each other love, happiness and luck that the whole ceremony goes well! It can be in a form of scrolls, cards or any other creative form of message. Wedding wishes will remind you how you felt on the day you exchanged wedding bands.
Compile a Wedding Card Album
You may receive hundreds of cards on your wedding day and may not know what to do with them. Instead of throwing them away or locking them in a box, compile an album, just as you would do with your photos. This way you will be able to flip through an album full of warm wishes from the people who care about you.
Press Your Wedding Flowers
Flowers beautify wedding ceremonies but are also the perishable items of your decor. To keep them as souvenirs, pick a few from your bouquet, aisle stands, tables and wherever else they may be, and press them down in a thick book. They will not look the same as they would on the day – but they would sure be a personal reminder of how much thought you had put into your floral decorations.

Most couples do hire a photographer or a camera man to capture special moments on their weddings. This is a brilliant way to safe keep those memories. To make the whole experience even more meaningful, meet with your photographer and / or viedographer a few weeks before the wedding to decide on your preferences for his or her services. You may want to focus on the solemnisation of vows; the speeches made by honoured guests; or even the preparation of the wedding. You may even want to leave it up to the professional, who, with enough experience, will compile an album to remember.
